Dom Giordano Program Recap | August 26, 2019

The Dom Giordano Program
August 26, 2019 - 10:44 am

Today, Dom started the show discussing the death of billionaire donor David Koch and Bill Maher's celebratory monologue. Dom connects the glee of Maher's audience at the announcement of Koch's death to the jeers directed at football player Andrew Luck. Dom explained why the reaction was so negative from the fans. Dom and Dan debated whether or not Luck should have decided to retire so close to the beginning of the season. Dom opined about life after football and the price the players pay for devoting their life to the sport.

Later, Dom commented on a 911 call in which the woman calling the authorities was unsure of whether or not to break a car window to save a baby trapped inside a minivan. Dom explained the obvious merits of doing so and how common sense takes precedence in those situations. Dom also questioned whether or not to intervene in parenting situations or report parents to safety officials such as lifeguards.

Finally, Dom weighed in on the controversy facing Cherry Hill's school district over delinquent school lunch bills. Dom took your calls on the subject in search of a solution to the fight between the district and the parents. Plus, Dom explained why he feels going without paying a school lunch bill or filing for lunch accommodations is "child neglect."
