Nursing Facilities Must Inform Families of COVID-19 Outbreaks

Dom Giordano talks with CMS Administrator Seema Verma about the COVID-19 numbers in nursing homes and the reason why there is resistance to release them. Verma talks about the importance of making sure the nursing facility is prepared to take on a patient before they are sent there and explains who sets the guidelines for the facilities. Verma also explains how a nursing home is now required to tell family members if there is a COVID-19 outbreak, regardless if the resident they are related to is affected.
