The Great Gas Pump Debate!

​Dom Giordano talks with Sal Risalvato, Director of the NJGCA about self-serve gas pumps. Risalvato explains why it is safer for the gas stations to switch to self-serve pumps, pointing out the contact made between the attendant and the driver. Risalvato disputes the idea that it is more efficient for somebody else to pump gas and points out how the gas it is cheaper to purchase gasoline at a self-serve station than it is for an attendant to pump for the customer. 

 

NJ State Sen. Joe Pennacchio On Push For Hydroxychloroquine

New Jersey State Senator Joe Pennacchio returns to the Dom Giordano Program for an update on his efforts to break loose drugs that give hope, such as Hydroxychloroquine. Initially, Pennacchio explains that a petition for a right-to-try regarding the experimental drug began with only doctors as signatories. Since then, entire countries and the FDA have joined Pennacchio's effort in giving hope to Coronavirus patients. Today in a press release, Pennacchio said, "we know [HCQ> works. That discussion is over with. Now it’s time to use HCQ to help keep people healthy, break the back of the pandemic, and release people from isolation." Pennacchio explains to Dom his steps moving forward in making the potential treatment widely available to Coronavirus patient under a doctor's supervision.

 

Corey Lewandowski Says "One-Size-Fits-All" Doesn't Work in COVID-19 Fight

Dom Giordano talks with Corey Lewandowski about the importance of Easter and the importance of flattening the curve as the holiday approaches. Lewandowski explains the difference of the economies of the different states, saying that the decisions should be left to local decision-makers. Lewandowski dismisses the notion that the federal government should lay down a "one-size-fits-all" procedure for the country. Lewandowski highlights the importance of getting the economy back on track. Plus, Lewandowksi addresses the potential for Andrew Cuomo as a presidential candidate and predicts Joe Biden's chances if he has to face-off with Donald Trump.

 

Local Distillery Transitions To Hand Sanitizer Factory

Aaron Diamond, lead distiller and proprietor behind Mount Holly's Train Wreck Distillery, joins the Dom Giordano Program to tell listeners what both he and his father are doing to combat the spread of Coronavirus. Diamond, an expert distiller, decided a few weeks ago that he would transition away from spirits and into the business of distilling hand sanitizer. Diamond explains the decision, and how he and the business have been distributing to public servants on the front line.
