On this morning's show, Rich continued the dialogue on red flag laws, commenting on an interview Dom Giordano conducted with Pat Toomey. Rich expressed disdain at the idea of red flag laws and the leeway it gives the government to infringe on the second amendment.

"I'm tired of guys like [Pat] Toomey twisting this into a pretzel to try to justify this authoritarian impulse to destroy the bill of rights to make the mob happy.

"If a guy says to his ex-wife, 'I'm going to kill you,' he's broken the law. The police can intervene...If you go online and say, 'I'm going to blow up a school,' if you do any of these things, you have broken the law. You have given the United States government and your local authorities more than enough than they need to be able to get you, stop you, and put you away if you deserve it. That's not what we're talking about here.

"Red flag laws are designed to say somebody is depressed or potentially suicidal or very, very sad, and we think they might do something, so now we need to intervene and take their firearms."

Listen to Rich's analysis below.
