On today's show, Rich reflected on the state of America after 9/11. Rich expressed his love for the country and explained why the United States continues to endure in spite of heinous acts such as the terrorist attacks that struck the nation on September 11, 2001.

"I think [it is] very important on days like today that we remember people. These are tough days. This is a tough day, no doubt, for our nation. The good news, though, is that...the country has survived. We endure. We endure, and we just can't be stopped. America can't be stopped. I think that is always the thing about this country that I just absolutely love. We get hurt. We stumble. We fall. But we always, always come back...We're too strong a people.

"I think the passion is why we're still here. It's just so uniquely American...Not only do we have people who step up and serve and put their life on the line for us and run into buildings that are on fire to save people, and then go overseas to fight in a war to get the guys that did this to us, but the fact that we have a Constitution and Bill of Rights that enables us as people to have the say...in our country is the reason why we're the greatest country on Earth."
