Zeoli: 'It's Very Chic to Scream and Panic' About Climate Change

The Rich Zeoli Show 09/24/19

The Rich Zeoli Show
September 24, 2019 - 12:28 pm

On this morning’s show, Rich explained why people are so freaked out about climate change and why young people are so angry about environmental issues.

“A big part of this and why this is happening is because kids are panicking because we have told kids that the world is going to end and life is going to be bad for them.  For a lot of them, it’s very vogue. It’s very chic to go out and scream and panic. Sadly though, the fact is…they are living in probably the greatest time ever in the history of the world.

“A lot of young people have been raised on a culture of telling them the world is coming to an end…and for them, they can be part of this and be included in this, too.  You know, for kids, they love to be included in things. They love to feel a sense of camaraderie in something.

Rich attributed some of the blame to the adults who indoctrinated children with the idea that the world will come to an end in the near future.

“A lot of this is our fault…We have convinced them that the doom and gloom is coming. We’ve done it with television shows. We’ve done it with movies. This is a generation that grew up watching movies like The Day After Tomorrow. Watching TV shows where the find ways to bring climate change into it as a fear factor tool all the time.
