On today’s show, Rich disparaged Rep. Adam Schiff’s reading of the transcript of Donald Trump’s Ukraine phone call.

“[Rep. Adam Schiff] should absolutely have to resign his chairmanship over this. I’m not kidding because it’s very important for the American people to understand…it’s not an entertainment. You’re not an actor. This is not parody. This is not Saturday Night Live. This is a hearing of the United States House of Representatives committee on national intelligence.”

Rich noted the hypocrisy of a representative getting away with misleading the American people, while a witness could never do what Schiff did.

“What he accused the President of doing when he lied before the American people and said the President said those things is so incredibly dangerous to the rule of law that, had a witness done it, they would have charged the witness with perjury. Had a witness sat there under oath and did what Adam Schiff did, they would be charged with lying to congress…and potentially facing federal prison.

“It’s a disgrace. This is shameful. But I’m so cynical, I would be shocked if he was upstanding.”
