PHILADELPHIA (1210 WPHT)- Daniel Turner, Executive Director of Power the Future, has no doubt what two factors will decide the 2020 election.

"Jobs and the economy," proclaimed Turner, in an interview with The Rich Zeoli Show. "This is what most people across the nation care about, but especially in Pennsylvania...there's an awful lot of coal jobs...and that's how people go in to vote."

Turner explained the impact the "War on Coal" had on the nation during the Obama administration.

"83,000 coal jobs were lost while [Barack Obama] was president, a lot of them in Pennsylvania," said Turner. "They're coming back to work. Do you think they're going to vote for a guy who wants to put them out of a job again?"

Turner acknowledged the momentum the "environmental left" has gained under Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, pointing out how Democratic candidate Joe Biden is "in a bind."

"[Biden] can't alienate these people completely. He needs them."

Turner was matter-of-fact in his assessment of Biden's future in the race.

"I think [the environmental left is] actually going to undo his front runner status and cause him to lose the nomination."
