Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was asked about comments made today by Bill Baroni, the former #2 at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, who was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for his role in Bridgegate and said he was sucked into the "cult of Christie." "I don’t know what cult Bill is talking about, but it’s a cult that only seemed to affect three people in New Jersey state government," Christie said today on "The Rich Zeoli Show" on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT.  "Everybody else acted within the law with the interests of the people of New Jersey at heart, their best interest at heart, and no one can deny that after eight years of my administration," said Christie.

In his book, "Let Me Finish," Christie is highly critical of early White House staffing decisions. Asked if he believes the Trump administration is in a better operating position today, Christie said yes, and credited former Chief of Staff John Kelly and the quality of the cabinet."The president is in a much better place. He's still not where he needs to be from a personnel perspective, unfortunately, I don't know if that's gonna change for the first term...but he's in a much better place than he was in January 2017 and for a good nine months after that," said Christie.
