Dems Shun Howard Schultz Out Of The Race

Today, Dom started off the show by talking about former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz’s decision to drop his plans for running as an independent in 2020. In a letter posted to his website early Friday, Schultz wrote, “My belief in the need to reform our two-party system has not wavered, but I have concluded that an independent campaign for the White House is not how I can best serve our country at this time.” Schultz’s January announcement was followed by a large amount of criticism and fear from the left, due to his potential to steal votes away from a Democratic candidate. Dom takes a look back on Schultz’s soft candidacy and plays some of the strongest critics against his campaign.

Mayor Pete Thinks Religious Conservatives Are Hypocrites

Then, Dom discussed a comment made by Pete Buttigieg last night on Stephen Colbert’s late night show, in which he criticized religious conservatives as ‘hypocrites’. Buttigieg also explained his comments from his CNN Town Hall earlier in the week, in which he said that not recognizing the climate crisis is a ‘sin’. Dom breaks down Buttigieg’s claims, and throws the ‘hypocrisy’ right back in his face.

Jason Chaffetz on his new book Power Grab

And former congressman and current Fox News host Jason Chaffetz joined Dom to discuss his just-released best-selling book, Power Grab. In the new book, Chaffetz writes of ‘the liberal scheme to undermine Trump, the GOP, and our republic. For more information, and to purchase the book, click here.
