Brian Kilmeade on the Legacy of the Alamo

Dom Giordano talks with Fox and Friends co-host and radio personality Brian Kilmeade about his latest book, Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers. Kilmeade explains what life at the Alamo was like and what is still standing today. Kilmeade also comments on the life of Andrew Jackson and President Donald Trump’s obsession with Fox and Friends. Plus, what people will get out of the story of the Alamo and the misconceptions of the Alamo.

JD Mullane on the bastardization of Halloween

Columnist JD Mullane joins the Dom Giordano Program to give his take on a proposal and petition to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October, which in the petitioners views, would ease up stress on parents who are used to bringing their children trick-or-treating on Halloween weeknights. Mullane argues that this is a push by millennials who would like to further drink and celebrate on a weekend night for Halloween. Mullane writes in the Bucks County Courier Times, “You have to wonder if ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,’ were made today what it would look like. To reflect current sensibilities, my guess is the cast would be young, college-educated adults. First, they’d visit Spirit Halloween to buy macabre costumes, ghoulish severed body parts, and disturbing animatronic decorations evoking visions from Hell. The darker, the better. Then they’d head off to Lucy and Linus’s house to smoke weed, dance to techno club music, and get drunk on shots of Fireball whiskey.”

Mike Mikalonis | President of the Conshohocken Golden Bears

Mike Mikalonis, leader of the football team who was sacked with a $500 fine for ‘running up the score’ joins the Dom Giordano Program ahead of a hearing to determine whether or not the fine is necessary. Mikalonis comments on sportsmanship and ‘mercy’ rules, and tells Dom whether or not he believes his coach deserves the fine.
