Today, Maureen Faulkner called into the Dom Giordano Program to give us an update on the now almost 40 year old back and forth with the Philadelphia criminal justice system after her husband, Daniel Faulkner, was murdered by activist Mumia Abu-Jamal. After serving 38 years in jail, six lost boxes of prosecution files breathed new life into the case, potentially leading to a new trial. Last week, Maureen came back to Philadelphia to protest District Attorney Larry Krasner for his take on the Abu-Jamal case, and his record of reform that has led to lackadaisical sentences for criminals. Faulkner fears that her husband’s murderer will be allowed to walk.
