Would You Give Up Your Private Insurance For A Federal Program?

Dom led off today’s show by talking about last night’s debate, specifically the hammering Warren faced on the issue of health care. During the debate, Buttigieg and Klobuchar called out the Democratic frontrunner for her refusal to answer whether or not her health care plan would raise taxes on the middle class. After the debate, Warren was also pressed on the issue by both CNN and MSNBC, and although Bernie Sanders has already admitted that taxes will go up, Warren repeatedly tried pivoting the conversation to one of “total costs” rather than “taxes.”  Along with this, Dom also asks a question that didn’t come up last night… do Democrats really think people would be happy to surrender their private insurance for a federal program?

Are Mercy Rules Necessary?

Dom discussed a story in Conshohocken, in which a football team of children aged 5, 6, and 7 is being fined for ‘running up the score.’ Coach Kyle Williams of the Golden Bears knew he was in trouble when his team scored to go up by 30, knowing that the rules state that his team receive a fine if they win by more than 30. Dom wonders whether or not a fine is appropriate, or if any kind of mercy role is necessary, to teach kids sportsmanship in youth sports.

Megyn Kelly Returns To Fox News… As A Guest

Finally, Dom discusses the ongoing infighting at Fox News. Now, Megyn Kelly is set to be a guest on Tucker Carlson’s show, and that’s angered other hosts such as Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity. Dom debuts Survivor: Fox News edition, and discusses whether or not Megyn Kelly (and Bill O’Reilly) would be good for Fox.
