Philadelphia Restaurant Owners Hope To Stay Open

Local Philadelphia Attorney Brian Fritz joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his continued fight to keep Philadelphia restaurants afloat. Fritz made headlines earlier in the Pandemic, for providing over 200,000 meals to front-line workers out of his own pockets. Now, he has teamed up with local restaurant owners to file an emergency injunction against the city of Philadelphia to prevent another wave of restaurant closures, which would kill many restaurant owners’ businesses. Fritz explains the context of the lawsuit, and what he hopes to accomplish along with the local business owners in filing the lawsuit.

Bishop McDevitt and Hallahan Catholic Close Their Doors

Two Philadelphia Catholic School institutions are closing, Bishop McDevitt and Hallahan Girls Catholic School. Sister Maureen McDermott, Superintendent of Secondary Schools, and Irene Hannan, CEO of Faith in the Future, join the Dom Giordano Program to discuss what led to the closings and how we can prevent more closings in the future. McDermott explains the sinking numbers enrolled in Catholic Schools in Philadelphia, pontificating reasons why this had to happen. Hanna explains the reasoning for McDevitt’s closing and how school choice could prevent situations like this from happening in the future.

Seth Grove on Dominion's No Show

Pennsylvania Representative Seth Grove, Chairman of the House Government Oversight Committee, joins the Dom Giordano Program. This week, the State Government Committee set a hearing with Dominion Voting Systems, which was later cancelled as the company refused to appear. Given the national attention over Dominion’s role in the election, the fact that they are refusing to testify is a big deal. Grove explains what exactly happened and takes us through the situation chronologically. Then, Dom and Grove discuss how to proceed with their no-show, Dom asking whether or not they can be subpoenaed.
