'Friends of Marconi Plaza' Fight Against Columbus Statue Removal

Center City attorney George Bochetto, representation of ‘Friends of Marconi Plaza,’ joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the decision by Philadelphia’s Art Commission in an 8-1 vote to remove the Christopher Columbus statue from Marconi Plaza in South Philadelphia. Bochetto reflects on what has been done in the fight against the removal so far, and lays forth what he plans on doing going forward to keep the statue where it belongs. Bochetto argues that there is supposed to be a process and statutes involved that need to be followed, which has been completely ignored when dealing with the Columbus statue.

Haverford's Upcoming 'Back the Blue' Rally

Nicholas Finelli Jr. rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss an upcoming ‘Back the Blue’ rally at the Haverford Township Police station on Saturday, August 15th at 10AM. The event, which is set to last about an hour, will be followed by a patriot rally at Tip O’Learys restaurant on West Chester Pk. In Havertown. Finelli explains that as he has canvassed for congressional candidate Dasha Pruett, the response he’s received for the upcoming event has been astounding, and notes that the number one issue in the upcoming election has been law and order and public safety.

Bellmawr's Paul DeAngelis on Revocation Of Atilis Gym License

Paul DeAngelis, Councilmember in Bellmawr, NJ, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the town of Bellmawr’s decision to revoke the business license of Atilis Gym. DeAngelis divulges that the council made a point to have everybody vote their heart, and DeAngelis may have voted in favor of revoking the license, but thinks the owners of the gym deserve their day in court.
