The 'Adversity Index'

The Dom Giordano Program

The College Board, which administers the SAT for high school graduates and college hopefuls, decided to throw their hats in the ring as social justice warriors. A new “Adversity Index”, which Dom has rightfully deemed the “Victim Score”, awards a confidential score to each student based on how privileged the student’s upbringing has been. An idea that hints of a dystopian social score, the College Board hopes to use the new index to help less privileged students get prioritized recognition at schools to which they apply. Dom tears apart the new idea, explaining how the score reflects a negative aspect of society, and why the score is a negative addition to the college application process.
