Jonathan Jakubowski On Millennial Voters

The Dom Giordano Program
Thursday, October 29th
Jonathan Jakubowski, author of the new Bellwether Blues, A Conservative Awakening of the Millennial Soul, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a piece he penned in the Hill that examines social desirability and how it relates to polling. Jakubowski notes that due to the public discourse and negativity toward Trump, voters are less willing to openly admit their support for the President. Jakubowski digs deeper, looking into questions such as those asked by Gallup, which asked whether voters feel as though they’re better off now than they were 4 years ago. Also, Jakubowski discusses Bellwether Blues, which takes a deep dive into a silent sect of Millennials who feel alienated and isolated from the rest of their generation who have moved very radically left. Jakubowski notes that as millennials enter into the process of maturation, they look at life more critically and political views develop, whether that’s left or right, with many moving toward the center whether on either side.
