Phila School Board's Dr. Maria McColgan on Full Virtual Return To School

The Dom Giordano Program
Friday, July 31st
Dr. Maria McColgan, school board member in Philadelphia, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the board’s decision this week to start the school year in a full digital format. McColgan, the lone vote against the plan to go digital, explains that she is in favor of a hybrid plan but sees the angle that her cohorts on the board took in wanting to go full digital. Also, Giordano and McColgan discuss the issue of the budget and whether or not it is sufficient to help ease the transition for students back to in-person schooling. Finally, McColgan explains why she went against the rest of the school board rather than making it a unanimous vote. (Photo by Getty Images)
