Philadelphia Councilman David Oh On Council Decision On Tasers

The Dom Giordano Program
Wednesday, October 28th
Councilman David Oh of Philadelphia returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the unrest in Philadelphia. Yesterday, the Dom Giordano Program uncovered that many officers in Philadelphia aren’t trained nor have the equipment to use Tasers due to budgetary cuts. 6ABC reported last night that when asking Council for the Taser training, the department was instead hit with a $14m cut. Oh explains why the Council voted against such a seemingly obvious thing to help police officers calmly handle situations like the one this weekend. Also, Oh mentions other bills that Council is considering, including one that would also ban the use of tear gas and other type of non-lethal force. (Photo by Getty Images)
